A General Meeting of The Australian Workers’ Union, West Australian Branch, Industrial Union of Workers (AWU) held on 9th June 2017 in Perth endorsed the proposed rule amendments. AWU membership dues will increase by $1 per week for the standard membership from 1 April 2017. The dues will be indexed to inflation from 1 January 2018 onwards. This is the first increase since 2013 and is necessary to maintain the full range of benefits and services available to AWU members.
