More than 100 good jobs lost as auto-parts plant in Yennora closes

Sydney's south-west manufacturing sector has taken a big hit as international car component parts manufacturer, Dana, shuts its Yennora plant, resulting in 115 jobs lost.

Two-year campaign gets enterprise agreement with Maersk - 16 March 2010
The AWU-MUA Offshore Alliance has after a two year campaign got the enterprise agreement with Maersk to a point for the crews to consider in a vote.

MUA-AWU Offshore Alliance Nan Hai VI: Enterprise Agreement Negotiations - 12 March 2010
Maersk Drilling Australia Pty Ltd (Maersk), the Australian Workers' Union (AWU) and the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) can now announce that they have, with the assistance of Fair Work Australia, reached an in principle agreement (subject to employee vote) on the enterprise agreement negotiations on the Nan Hai VI.
